Prof. Dr. Epaminondas Voutsas is a Professor in the Laboratory of Thermodynamics and Transport Phenomena at the School of Chemical Engineering, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Zografou Campus, Athens, Greece. He obtained his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 1997. Prof. Voutsas’s research interests include ionic liquids, process engineering, polymers, solubility, chemical engineering, process design, thermodynamics, viscosity, and molecular simulation.
Prof. Dr. Haralambos Stamatis is a Professor in the Laboratory of Biotechnology, Department of Biological Applications and Technologies, at the University of Ioannina, Ioannina, Greece. He earned his PhD in 1996 from the Department of Chemistry of the University of Patras in collaboration with the Institute of Biological Research and Biotechnology, National Hellenic Research Foundation, Athens, Greece. Prof. Stamatis’s research interests include the development of bioprocesses and biotechnological tools for the production of high added value products; biotechnological valorization of agro-industrial by-products; biocatalysis and synthetic biotechnology.
