I am an
accomplished researcher in electronic instrumentation and photovoltaic systems.
My Ph.D. in Engineering and Architecture from the University of Jaén was
honored with the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize, a recognition of my thesis's
excellence and innovative contributions. My research is focused on the
decarbonization of the energy sector, particularly through the analysis and
implementation of photovoltaic systems in urban and industrial environments. I
have served as the Principal Investigator on several major, competitively
funded projects, for example focused on self-consumption in Andalusian SMEs,
another on the ecological transition in the industrial sector, supported by the
Ministry of Science and Innovation.
I have taken on
significant leadership roles within both academia and professional
organizations. I spent nearly a decade as the Sub-director for Students at the
Higher Polytechnic School of Jaén, where I spear-headed initiatives to improve
student life, employability, and diversity, including coordinating a successful
peer-mentoring program and championing STEM vocations. I also serve as the Head
of the multidisciplinary TEP988_PAIDI Research Group, directing a team of ten
Ph.D.s and fostering collaborations with international universities and
industry partners. Most recently, I became the President of the TAEE
Association, where I continue to lead efforts to improve electronics
education and enhance the visibility of our scientific output.
