Dr. Jihong Yan is a Professor in Industrial Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), she is also the head of intelligent manufacturing scientific research team at HIT. Dr. Yan is the vice chairman of Production System Committee of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and chairman of Industrial Engineering Professional Committee of the Mechanical Engineering Society of Heilongjiang Province. As a PI, Dr. Yan has worked on and accomplished 15 projects in intelligent manufacturing and sustainability related areas, funded by National Science and Technology Major Project, the NSF of China (NSFC), NSF-NSFC joint-project funding, National key R&D program, National High-tech project, EPSRC project, High-tech funding from industries, etc. She has authored and co-authored over 150 research papers and published 3 books. Prof. Yan has also been invited multiple times to serve as the general chair and program chair for international conferences in the field of intelligent manufacturing, and has been invited to deliver keynote speeches and topic presentations.
