Karmenova Markhaba holds an MSc in Computer science from East Kazakhstan State University, Kazakhstan. She has a Ph.D. in Information Systems (by industry) from The Daulet Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU), Kazakhstan. The topic of her doctoral dissertation is "DEVELOPMENT OF METHODS FOR ASSESSING SEISMIC RESISTANCE OF URBAN FACILITIES BASED ON THE APPLICATION OF DATA ANALYSIS TECHNOLOGY". The thesis is devoted to the development of a method for seismic resistance assessment of urban objects, taking into account seismic data, based on the use of data mining. Based on the developed method for seismic resistance assessment of urban objects, taking into account seismic data, the architecture of an intelligent analytical system and its software implementation are designed. She is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Modeling and Information Technology, Higher School of IT and Natural Sciences, Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. She has authored and co-authored more than 40 scientific papers. Her interests include the application of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and spatial data analysis and IT for Education and Training.
