Isaku Okamoto received his M.D. in Medicine from Tokyo Medical University in 2003 and later obtained his Ph.D. in Medical Science. He worked as a resident and clinical fellow in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Tokyo Medical University from 2003 to 2010. In 2010, he joined the Head and Neck Cancer Center at Mita Hospital, International University of Health and Welfare, as a senior resident. He returned to Tokyo Medical University in 2012 and was promoted to Professor in 2024. His research topics mainly include head and neck reconstructive surgery, immunotherapy, and photoimmunotherapy.
