Author Biographies

Ronald Paucar Curasma is an electronic engineer specializing in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), with a master’s degree in telecommunications and a Ph.D. in education with a focus on ICT. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate in systems engineering. He has completed specialized ICT training in the United States, Japan, Spain, Brazil, Costa Rica, and Ecuador. He served as coordinator of research and technological development at the Research Directorate of INICTEL, National University of Engineering – UNI (2002–2017), and as director of the School of Electronic Engineering at the National University of San Marcos – UNMSM (2019–2020). He has taught undergraduate and graduate programs at UNMSM, PUCP, UTP, UNTELS, UNS, UNCP, and UNH. He is currently a principal professor and researcher at the National Autonomous University of Tayacaja Daniel Hernández Morillo – UNAT. As a former JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) fellow, he is registered as a researcher in RENACYT – CONCYTEC. He is the general coordinator and principal investigator of two applied research projects funded by PROCIENCIA–CONCYTEC. He has received recognition for his contributions to science, technology, and innovation from the rectors of UNMSM and UNI and was honored as a “Distinguished Figure of the Huancavelica Region 2024” for his work in these areas. His research interests include the STEM approach, active methodologies, educational robotics, computational thinking, and ICT.
