Dr. Alicja Szmelter is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Architecture at Warsaw University of Technology (WAPW), where she is the head of the Urban Development History Studio. She completed her Ph.D. at the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU). Her research interests include the history of architecture and urban design, with a special interest in green urban spaces.

Prof. Dr. Joanna Szmelter is a professor of computational fluid and solid dynamics at the School of Mechanical, Electrical, and Manufacturing Engineering, Loughborough University. Prior to this, she was a senior lecturer at the Royal Military College of Science, Cranfield University, and earlier, a principal engineer at BAe Airbus Ltd. She gained her Ph.D. from Swansea University. Her research interests include the developments of numerical methods and advanced scientific simulations for multidisciplinary applications related to environmental flows, aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, and ballistics.
