Dr. Emily Jeanne Tetzlaff is the Principal Scientist for Environmental, Health and Safety at Wenco International Mining Systems. She earned her Ph.D. in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa, where she also held a Health System Impact Fellowship with the Canadian Institute of Health Research. With over a decade of experience in health promotion and occupational health and safety, she has held research and leadership roles in mining, government, and academic settings. Dr. Tetzlaff is a Registered Kinesiologist and has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications, presented at over 60 academic and industry conferences, and co-authored several nationally funded research projects on heat stress, fatigue risk, and climate-resilient workplaces. Her research interests include workplace health, safety and wellness, heat-related risk management, and evidence-informed safety policy development.
