Author Biographies

Inoussa Legrene received the Licence in Computer Science from the Université Joseph Ki-Zerbo, Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, in 2019. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Systems Engineering at École de technologie supérieure, Montréal, Canada. His main research interests include multi-objective evolutionary algorithms, machine learning methods, and their applications in renewable energies.
Tony Wong holds a B.Eng. and Master’s degrees from École de technologie supérieure, Montréal, QC, Canada in 1991 and 1993, respectively, all in electrical engineering.  He received his Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal in Canada in 1998. Dr. Wong joined the Systems Engineering department of École de technologie supérieure in 1999. His research interests are Edge Computing, Industrial Internet of Things, Multi-objective Evolutionary Algorithms, Machine Learning methods, and their application to service and manufacturing problems.
Louis A. Dessaint received the B.Eng. (1978), MASc. (1980), and Ph.D. degrees (1985) from the École Polytechnique de Montréal, Canada, all in electrical engineering. He is currently Professor of Electrical Engineering at the École de technologie supérieure in Montreal. Dr. Dessaint held the Hydro-Québec TransÉnergie research chair in the simulation and control of power systems from 2001 to 2011, and later the ETS institutional chair in the security of power systems from 2014 to 2017. He is a coauthor of the MathWorks SimPowerSystems (SPS) Blockset. He was also an associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology and of the IET Journal on Generation, Transmission & Distribution. Dr. Dessaint is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and a member of the Centre d’excellence de l’Université du Québec.
