Petr A. Beliy received his M.Sc. (Dipl. Ing.) in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pardubice, Czech Republic, in 2001 and his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of St. Andrews, UK, in 2004. From 2005 to 2006, he was a Postdoctoral fellow at Loker Hydrocarbon Research Institute, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA. From 2007 to 2011, he was Head of the Junior Research Team, Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the CAS, Prague, Czech Republic. He has been Head of the Senior Research Group, Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the CAS, Prague, Czech Republic, since 2012. His research interests include Organic synthesis, Organo-Fluorine Chemistry, Asymmetric Synthesis, Reaction Mechanisms, and Biocatalysis.
