Author Biographies

Prof. Dr. Eleni Sardianou is a professor of Applied Environmental Economics in the Department of Economics and Sustainable Development, School of Environment, Geography, and Applied Economics at Harokopio University of Athens, Kallithea, Greece. She teaches environmental economics, energy economics, statistics, and econometrics.  She is a member of the Laboratory of Applied Economics and Sustainable Development. Prof. Sardianou’s research interests include sustainable consumption, the sustainability performance of firms, and quantitative analysis of environmental and energy economics. She serves as an associate editor on the Editorial Board of SN Business & Economics, Springer Nature.  Her research work also ranks in the top 2% in the scientific field of environmental economics, as listed in the “Data for updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators”, by Elsevier BV and Stanford University in the USA for the period 2021–2024.
Dr. Maria Briana is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Economics and Sustainable Development at Harokopio University of Athens, Kallithea, Greece. Her professional experience spans several institutions and organizations where she has worked in their Communication Departments. She currently serves in the Hellenic Parliament. With ten years of teaching experience, her research centers on strategic communication, place branding, digital marketing, e-commerce and sustainable development.
