Doctor Panos T. Chountalas is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Business Administration at the University of Piraeus, where he has earned a Ph.D., an M.B.A., and a B.Sc. in the same field. Alongside his primary appointment, he holds the role of Teaching Associate at the Hellenic Open University, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and the University of Thessaly. Doctor Panos T. Chountalas possesses an expansive professional background in business consulting and has played an integral role as a researcher in numerous internationally funded projects, including EQUAL, INTERREG, and ERASMUS+. Previously, he spearheaded an innovative e-publishing venture as its owner and director. His academic pursuits are currently focused on a diverse array of research interests, as follows: business process management, standardized management systems, operations management, total quality management, enterprise risk management, entrepreneurship and innovation.
Professor Dr. Thomas K. Dasaklis is an Assistant Professor at the School of Social Sciences, Hellenic Open University. He received a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Industrial Management and Technology, University of Piraeus, and an M.Sc. degree in supply chain management and a Ph.D. degree in emergency supply-chain management and disaster response from the University of Piraeus. Professor Dr. Thomas K. Dasaklis has worked for the European Commission (DG Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection) and the University of Piraeus Research Centre. He has also worked in the private sector for three years as the Supply Chain Director. He has participated in National and European research projects and has published papers in books, peer-reviewed journals, and conference proceedings. His research interests include supply-chain management, operational research, humanitarian logistics/disaster response, data analysis, and blockchain technology. In addition, Prof. Dr. Thomas K. Dasaklis has served as a guest editor, a Program Committee Member, and a reviewer for various international journals and conferences.
