Prof. Dr. Cezary Kabala is a soil scientist. He received his MSc (1993) and PhD (1997) in agriculture and soil science from the Wrocław University of Agriculture (currently: Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences). He is presently the Head (director) of the Institute of Soil Sciences, Plant Nutrition and Environmental Protection at WUELS, the Vice President of the Soil Science Society of Poland, the Chair of the IUSS Working Group WRB, the Chair of the research council of the Stolowe Mountains National Park, and a member of the research council of the Karkonosze Mountains National Park.
