Dr. Bryan W. Berger is a Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Department of Chemical
Engineering, Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of Virginia. He
received his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign in 1999 and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University
of Delaware in 2006. He was a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of
Biochemistry & Biophysics at the University of Pennsylvania School of
Medicine. His research interests include synthetic biology, biomanufacturing,
biotechnology, biofilms, biomineralization, biosurfactants, biosensors, and
structural biology.
