Dr. José Francisco López-Gil is currently working as a researcher at the Universidad de Las Américas (Quito, Ecuador). He holds a Ph.D. in Physical Education from the Universidad de Murcia (Region of Murcia, Spain) and a Ph.D. in Sports Sciences from the Universidade Federal do Paraná (Curitiba, Brazil). He leads some projects focusing on the health of children and adolescents. His research aims to improve the knowledge about the factors that influence childhood obesity, based on empirical results and, consequently, to contribute to greater physical fitness, physical activity and sleep duration, lower levels of sedentary behavior and better eating healthy habits in children and adolescents.
