Ryutaro Ichise received a Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan, in 2000. From 2001 to 2002, he was a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University. He is currently a Professor with the Institute of Science, Tokyo. In 2000, he joined the Knowledge Systems, Intelligent Systems Research Division, National Institute of Informatics, Japan, as an Assistant Professor. He joined the Principles of Informatics Research Division in 2006 and was an Associate Professor from 2007 to 2022. He has been a Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Economics, School of Engineering, Institute of Science Tokyo (formerly Tokyo Institute of Technology) since 2022. His research interests include machine learning, semantic webs, and data mining.
