Author Biographies

Ana C. Barbosa de Lima received her PhD in Social Cultural Anthropology from Indiana University in 2017. From 2017 to 2019, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Federal University of ParĂ¡, where she investigated the intersection of climate change and food security in Amazonian cities. In 2020, she began working for Project ECHO (Extension for Community Health Outcomes) at the University of New Mexico, where she supports the evaluation of virtual communities of practice aimed at addressing health inequities around the world. Ana has research and evaluation expertise in health and environmental topics, with a particular focus on mixed methods approaches. Some of her most recent work includes evaluating Antimicrobial Stewardship mentorship programs in Africa and Latin America, diabetes health equity in border areas of the United States, and oncology programs in Southeast Asia.
