I am an Educator and Forester specializing in Ecology and Environmental Management, holding an MSc in Ecology and Environmental Management. My long-term research interest is in Environmental Education, Cultural Ecology, and Environmental Interpretation of the mountainous area of Evrytania. My thesis highlighted the over-aged monumental trees of the Municipality of Karpenisi as living elements of agroforestry systems, cultural heritage landscapes, and the forage history and culture of the mountain communities of Pindus. I create and support educational programs for primary and secondary schools, previously serving as an Environmental Education Manager in the Prefecture of Evrytania, at the Environmental Education Center of Karpenisi, and, since 2020, at the Agroforestry and Forest Soil laboratory of the Department of Forestry & Natural Environment Management of the Agricultural University of Athens, Karpenisi. My PhD research focuses on practices for mitigating the impacts of climate change and the abandonment of traditional grazing and forestry activities in the forests (wood pastures) and silvopastoral systems of Evrytania to preserve habitats, livestock production, and traditional mountain communities: https://agroforestry.dasologia.gr
