Dr. Ezequiel Zamora-Ledezma is a Principal Professor at Universidad Técnica de Manabí (UTM), Ecuador, specializing in climate change, agroecosystems functioning, and environmental policy. He holds a Ph.D. in Ecosystems and Agronomic Sciences from Université de Montpellier (2013). As Vicedean of Research at UTM, he coordinates the Master's Program in Agroecology and Climate Change and leads the Agroecosystems Functioning and Climate Change Laboratory (FAGROCLIM), focusing on carbon dynamics in tropical ecosystems. His research expertise encompasses climate change adaptation, soil carbon dynamics, and environmental regulatory frameworks. With over 1,360 citations and an h-index of 10, he has made significant contributions to carbon quantification methodologies in tropical forests and greenhouse gas dynamics in degraded ecosystems. Dr. Zamora-Ledezma has coordinated international environmental projects with an emphasis on climate change mitigation strategies. His recent publications include regulatory framework analysis in MDPI journals. He collaborates with international institutions, including the French Institute for Research and Development on climate change adaptation, and serves as Vice President of the Ecuadorian Society of Biology. Accredited by SENESCYT-Ecuador since 2018, his approach combines environmental engineering, sustainable management, and climate policy to address global challenges.
