Author Biographies

Gabriel Atampugre Atampugbire is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in the Department of Chemistry at Georgia State University under the mentorship of Dr. Giovanni Gadda, where he also works as a teaching assistant. He earned his B.Sc. in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Ghana in the year 2023. During his undergraduate studies, several honors, including the Valedictorian Award, the Joseph Siaw Agyepong Award, and the Professor Frederick Kwadwo Rodrigues Prizes for excellence in Biological Sciences and Biochemistry, were conferred upon him. Prior to starting his doctoral program, he worked as a research assistant at the West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens, where he contributed to projects in Microbiology, Virology, and Cancer research. His current research focus is to understand the structure and function relationship of flavin-dependent enzymes. He is a member of the American Chemical Society and the International Officer of the Chemistry Graduate Student Association at Georgia State University, and he has authored and co-authored publications in journals such as Natural Product Communications, Cancer Control, and ASSAY and Drug Development Technologies.
