Mr. Thu-Quy Le has been the Director of the National Key Laboratory for Welding and Surface Treatment Technologies (National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering - Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade) since 2014. He received his engineering and master's degrees in "Composite powder materials and coatings" from Kiev Polytechnic Institute (Ukraine) in 1995, and his doctorate in metal corrosion from La Rochelle University (France) in 2002. Mr. Thu-Quy Le has 20 years of scientific research experience at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, and has worked in France, Germany, the UK, and South Korea. He has co-authored approximately 170 domestic and international scientific publications, 5 patents, and 1 monograph. Since 2015, Mr. Thu-Quy Le has been appointed Associate Professor by the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering and assigned to hold the position of Director of the Training Center concurrently. He is currently the Vice President of the Vietnam Welding Society for the 2024-2029 term. His areas of expertise are related to material characterisation and surface treatment technologies.
