Author Biographies

Claudia Russo is an Assistant Professor in Social Psychology at the Experimental and Applied Psychology Laboratory, Department of Health and Life Sciences, European University of Rome. Her research interests include the development and change of personal values—particularly during adolescence— the promotion and the prevention of prosocial and transgressive behaviors.
Ioana Zagrean is a research fellow in Social Psychology at Lumsa University and staff member of the Postgraduate School “Educare all’incontro e alla Solidarietà”' EIS-LUMSA. Her research interests include value development, ethnic prejudice, especially with regard to intergenerational transmission of prejudice toward immigrants during adolescence
Lucrezia Cavagnis is a psychologist and a research fellow in Social Psychology at the Department of Human and Social Sciences, University of Bergamo. She is also a PhD candidate in Psychology at the Catholic University of Milan, studying romantic competence among adolescents and young adults with married and divorced parents. Her research interests are mainly related to the field of social psychology, with a specific focus on family forensic psychology and prosocial behaviour. She is a member of the Italian Psychological Association (AIP), the Italian Society of Positive Psychology (SIPP), and the International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology (IACCP).
Sara Cristalli is a clinical and perinatal psychologist. She also has a master’s degree in law. Her current research interests include family and social psychology with a special focus on forensically relevant family ties and possible connections with neuroscience. She is currently collaborating on a research project with the University of Bergamo on how psychological dimensions can influence young adults' procreative choices.
Valentina Valtulini holds a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Health in Social Contexts, earned in 2023 from the University of Bergamo. She is a Research Fellow at the Department of Human and Social Sciences at the University of Bergamo. She collaborates as a teaching assistant and subject expert in Social Psychology, occasionally working as a tutor for activities related to university courses taught by her supervisors. Her research interests include the bonds and attachments people form with others and places, family values, inter- and intra-generational relationships, forgiveness, deviant behavior and restorative justice, and the psychology of religion.
Francesca Danioni is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Education of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, Italy, where she also collaborates with the Family Studies and Research University Center. Her research interests mainly focus on family relations, gratitude, human values and their assessment.
Daniela Barni is an Associate Professor of Social Psychology at the Department of Human and Social Sciences, University of Bergamo, where she teaches family forensic psychology, community psychology, and social psychology of adolescents.She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Family Studies and Research University Centre (Catholic University of Milan) and the Scientific Committee of the European Society for Family Relations (ESFR). She is a member of the Teaching Board of the Ph.D. program in "Human Sciences and Welfare Innovation” at the University of Bergamo. From 2021 to 2024, she served as President of the Joint Committee of Teachers and Students of the Department of Human and Social Sciences (Unibg); she is currently the Research Coordinator for the same Department. Her main research interests focus on family relationships, with particular attention to intergenerational transmission processes, critical transitions, and interventions for child protection and promotion of parenting. She is the author or co-author of numerous national and international publications on these topics.
