Author Biographies

Narcis Eduard Mitu is a Habilitated Associate Professor at the Department of Finance, Banking and Economic Analysis, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, University of Craiova, Romania. He holds a PhD in Accounting (2006) and was habilitated in Finance in 2025. His main research areas include taxation, public finance, and ethics in the public sector. For nine years, he worked as a civil servant in leadership roles within the General Directorate of Public Finances. He currently teaches public finance and taxation. He has been a visiting professor at several European universities, such as the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (Spain), Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (Portugal), and Robert Gordon University (UK). He has authored or co-authored notable scientific books on Romanian taxation—among them Fiscal Code Commented, Tax Systems Compared, and Tax Procedures, which received the AFER first prize. His work also includes Ethics and Business Negotiation. He has published numerous studies on taxation and public finance in top national journals. He was a member of the International Fiscal Association (2008–2023) and the International Institute of Global Economy (2018–2019), and has been a member of the World Economics Association since 2024.
George Teodor Mitu is a junior researcher affiliated with the University of Craiova, Romania, where he holds degrees in Marketing (BBA) and Law (LLB), and a Master's in Finance and Business Administration. His research interests lie at the intersection of digital finance, public policy, and sustainability. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed papers and contributes to interdisciplinary projects within the Department of Management, Marketing, and Business Administration.
