Dr. Weiguo Qian is a professor at the College of Fisheries, Zhejiang Ocean University. He graduated from Dalian Fisheries College in 1999 and studied fisheries at Shanghai Ocean University from 1999 to 2005, where he obtained a master’s and doctoral degree. He has presided over and participated in more than 40 important scientific research projects, published more than 100 papers, more than 40 patents, and more than 10 textbooks and books. He has won more than 10 provincial and ministerial scientific and technological achievement awards from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Oceanic Administration, the Shanghai Municipal Government, etc., including 5 first prizes and 3 provincial first prizes for teaching achievements. He is committed to research in the fields of fishing gear and methods, fishing equipment, fish behavior, recreational fisheries, and bionic robot fish.
