Prof. Tianfeng Zhou is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Beijing Institute of Technology, a unique young scholar, deputy director of the Advanced Processing National Defense Key Discipline Laboratory, a high-level overseas talent, a chief scientist of the Young 973 Program, and a Beijing Outstanding Young Scientist. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and automation from Beijing Institute of Technology, a master’s degree in precision instruments and mechanics from Tsinghua University, and a doctorate in nanomechanics from Tohoku University in Japan. He was a postdoctoral fellow in nanomechanics and an assistant professor of mechanical systems and design at Tohoku University. His main research directions include ultra-precision machining, micro-nano machining, mold manufacturing, and compression molding. He presided over projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Beijing Natural Science Foundation, the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Young 973 Program, the JW Science and Technology Committee’s Basic Strengthening Key/Innovation Special Zone, the Equipment Development Key Fund, and the GF Basic Research. He has published more than 100 SCI papers, obtained more than 70 national invention patents, and participated in the writing of 4 Chinese and English monographs. He won 1 first prize in the China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Progress Award and 1 second prize in the Technology Invention Award.

Prof. Weijia Guo is a pre-appointed assistant professor and master’s supervisor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the School of Mechanical Engineering of Beijing Institute of Technology. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Material Forming and Control Engineering from Tianjin University and a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore. She was a visiting scholar at Virginia Tech and a postdoctoral fellow in Mechanical Engineering at Beijing Institute of Technology. Her research interests include glass molded micro-nano structure mold processing and manufacturing; surface and interface modification of superhard materials; and polishing of superhard material micro-nano molds. As the project leader, she was approved for one Beijing Natural Science Foundation Youth Project and one Postdoctoral International Exchange Program Introduction Project. She has published more than 20 journal papers. She won the “Best Paper Award” at the 8th Asian International Conference on Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology. She is a member of the International Institution for Micro Manufacturing (I2M2) and a member of the International Academy of Engineering and Technology (AET).
Prof. Peng Liu is a pre-appointed assistant professor and master’s supervisor at the Institute of Advanced Processing, School of Mechanical Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology. He is an aviation electromechanical technology consultant for AVIC and a mentor at the Chongqing Innovation Center of Beijing Institute of Technology. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Materials Forming and Control Engineering/Finance from the School of Materials Science and Engineering/School of Public Administration, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and a doctorate in Optical Engineering from the Wuhan National Research Center for Optoelectronics, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering/Chongqing Innovation Center, Beijing Institute of Technology. He is mainly engaged in research areas such as laser optical system design and integration, laser-assisted ultra-precision manufacturing, brittle transmission material processing, optical intelligent manufacturing, and numerical simulation. He has presided over and participated in many national and municipal scientific research projects. He has published several scientific research papers. He has 45 invention disclosures and 20 invention grants. He has won the ICALEO Best Post Award and the gold medal in the 12th Challenge Cup China University Student Entrepreneurship Plan Competition.
