Prof. Dr. Laura-Mihaela Trandafir is a professor at the Department of Mother and Child, “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Iasi, Romania. She received her Ph.D. in medical sciences at the “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2005. She is a pediatric primary care physician, pediatric gastroenterology primary care physician, and gastroenterology specialist physician. She was a pediatric resident doctor from 2000 to 2005, a pediatric specialist from 2005 to 2009, and has been a primary physician in pediatric gastroenterology and pediatric primary physician since 2019. She was a member of the Society of Doctors and Naturalists Iasi.
Monica Tarcea (MD, PhD) is a Professor and Head of the Community Nutrition and Food Safety Department Professor at the GE Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology of Targu Mures, Romania. She was a Senior Specialist in Hygiene and Food Safety, former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine (2013–2016), and a member of the Hygiene Committee from the Romanian Ministery of Health, Romanian Association of Hygiene. She is the Head of the Environmental Health Department at the regional Public Health Center of Targu Mures, with a part-time job at the branch of the Romanian National Public Health Institute (Bucharest). She authored 10 hygiene and nutrition books, seven manuals for students, 156 articles (20 in ISI journals), 95 scientific conferences participations, and was coordinator of 10 national conferences. She is the Director and a member of seven national and four international projects. Her research interests include Community Nutrition, Public Health, Food Safety, and Risk Behavior Management.
Veronica Mocanu (M.D, Ph. D.) is a Professor of
Pathophysiology and Eating Behavior at the “Grigore T. Popa” University of
Medicine and Pharmacy, Iasi, Romania. She is an endocrinologist,
specializing in the treatment of obesity and eating disorders. She is the
coordinator of the Center for Experimental Biobehavioral Research in Obesity
(OBBEX), which develops research projects in the field of using virtual reality
(VR) technology in the study of eating behavior. In research
activity, she is concerned with the study of adipose tissue dysfunction and
eating behavior disorders. She is the author of more than 100 scientific
articles published in renowned journals. She participated in several projects
funded by the European Commission aimed at obesity prevention, including EPODE
for the Promotion of Health Equity (EPHE) and the EPODE European Network (EEN).
