Abdul Baqi Ahady is currently working as a Research Associate at the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management, RWTH Aachen University, Aachen, Germany. He has completed his M.Sc. in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering at Kabul Polytechnic University and was awarded a DAAD scholarship to pursue his Ph.D. in Germany. His research focuses on investigating drought using a combination of ground-based measurements and satellite data, with an emphasis on developing integrated models based on statistical analysis and remote sensing techniques.
