Mohammed Nazeer Khan is a researcher at VITO as part of the techno-economic assessment team. He has a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Masdar Institute, UAE in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA. Before joining VITO, he served as a post-doctoral fellow at the department of energy and process engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway. He is experienced in performing techno-economic assessments in the areas of membrane separations, carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), hydrogen generation, electrochemical processes, desalination, and bio-based value chains. He is also skilled in developing process models for mass and energy balances, uncertainty analysis using Monte-Carlo assessment, and life-cycle assessments. He is proficient in using several software tools to complement the data requirement in his assessments.
