Dr. Xiangping Tan received his B.E. in Biotechnology from the Northern University of Nationalities in 2007 and obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Environmental Microbiology from Northwest A&F University in 2010 and 2014, respectively. He was a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Center for Ecological and Environmental Sciences, South China Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences from December 2014 to July 2018, and he is now an Associate Professor at this institution. He was a Visiting Scholar at the Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory, Colorado State University, from January to November 2017. He also serves as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Forestry Research, an editor of Frontiers in Forest and Global Change, and a reviewer for domestic and international journals such as Global Change Biology, Chemosphere, Science of the Total Environment, Ecology and Evolution, and Pedobiology.
