Feng Zhang graduated from the College of Aeronautics, Northwestern Polytechnical University, and received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in 2004, 2007 and 2010. After graduation, he became a Teaching Assistant at the School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering, Northwestern Polytechnical University, and is now an Associate Professor. His main research direction is aircraft reliability engineering.
