Dr. Karuppasamy Govindasamy is a distinguished researcher and academic in the fields of Physical Education and Sports Science. He holds a Ph.D. in Training Methods in Physical Education and Sports Sciences from SRM
Institute of Science and Technology, Tamil Nadu, India, and is UGC-NET and JRF qualified. He is currently serving as the Assistant Director, Department of Sports, Recreation and Wellness at Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Hyderabad Campus, Telangana, India. He has a strong research focus on strength and conditioning, particularly on the effects of strength and balance training across different populations including children, adolescents, elite athletes, and seniors. His outstanding work was recognized with the Dr. M. Robson Award for Innovative Research in Physical Education and Sports by the Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI) in 2023. He has collaborated with researchers from over 21 countries and serves as a Ph.D. external expert for various reputed universities. Additionally, he is an active peer reviewer for multiple renowned journals including those from Springer, Elsevier, BMC, SAGE, Frontiers, Wolters Kluwer, and MDPI.
