Lei Wang received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2013 and his Ph.D. in Electronic Science and Technology from the same university in 2018. From November 2018 to April 2022, he conducted postdoctoral research on smart wearables at the Institute of Textiles and Clothing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, under the supervision of Professor Zijian Zheng. In June 2022, he joined South China University of Technology as a faculty member. His research focuses on flexible and wearable electronic devices based on natural polymer materials. He has achieved both theoretical and technological breakthroughs in the field of flexible energy storage materials, systematically addressing key scientific challenges such as device failure and interfacial mismatch under bending conditions. His work covers four levels: active materials, electrode active layers, current collectors, and the interfacial structure between the active layer and current collector, leading to the development of high-performance flexible electrodes for wearable applications.
