Chienhsiu Huang is a pulmonologist who works at Dalin Tzu Chi Hospital, which is a part of the Buddhist Tzu Chi Medical Foundation located in Taiwan. He completed his graduation from the National Defense Medical Center. His primary areas of expertise are pneumonia, infectious diseases, antibiotics, asthma, chronic obstructive lung disease (COPD), emphysema, lung cancer, interstitial and occupational lung diseases, and complex lung and pleural diseases, including tuberculosis, pulmonary hypertension, and cystic fibrosis. He served as a Resident, Chief Resident, and Visiting Staff Member at Taipei Veterans General Hospital from 1986 to 1991. Then, he was the Head of Chest Medicine at Hualien Armed Forces General Hospital from 1991 to 1995. Later, he worked as the Head of the Medical Intensive Care Unit and the Head of the Internal Medicine Department at St. Martin De Porres Hospital from 1997 to 2008. His present positions are Dalin Buddhist Tzu Chi General Hospital Visiting Staff Member in chest medicine, Head of the Respiratory Care Center, and Clinical Assistant Professor.
