Author Biographies

Lotfi Saidi received a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Tunis, Tunisia, in 2014, and a Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) degree in 2021 from the same university. He is an associate professor at the University of Sousse, Tunisia, and was the head of the electronics and computer engineering department from 2017 to 2024. He is also an affiliated member of the Institut de Recherche Dupuy de Lôme (UMR CNRS 6027), Brest, France. Dr. Saidi is an IEEE senior member, and his research interests include the application of advanced signal-processing tools for electrical machine condition monitoring; the prognosis and health management (PHM) of power converters; the PHM of batteries; predictions of electrical systems’ remaining useful life; and energy management systems in microgrids and renewable energy applications.
