MAIN SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS
i) the role of RAGE and its ligands on myogenesis, muscle regeneration, and skeletal muscle pathologies (including sarcopenia, cachexia, atrophy, and Duchenne muscular dystrophy); ii) use of herbal drugs to counteract muscle atrophy; iii) effect of Western diet consumption in muscle atrophy; and v) use of microencapsulated Sertoli cells to counteract muscular dystrophy.
