Author Biographies

Jernej Mlinarič received a master’s degree in mechatronics from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Maribor, Slovenia, in 2020. He is currently a Ph.D. student at the Jožef Stefan International Postgraduate School and works as a junior researcher in the Department of Systems and Control at the Jožef Stefan Institute. His research interests include fault detection, condition monitoring, and diagnosis and prognosis in industrial applications.
Dr. Boštjan Pregelj received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of University of Ljubljana. He is a senior researcher at the Department of Systems and Control at Jožef Stefan Institute, Ljubljana, and an assistant professor at the Faculty of Information Sciences, Novo Mesto. He works in the field of process control, signal processing, and production diagnostics, where he focuses on the application of research results to real processes and pilot plants.  His research is focused on process modelling, advanced control design, and system optimization. Application-wise he works in the two main fields: a) hydrogen technologies and b) production monitoring and diagnostics. He has been participating and coordinating several projects financed by industry, national funds, and the European commission.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Gregor Dolanc received his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, in 2000. He currently holds the position of Head of the Department of System and Control at Jozef Stefan Institute. He works in the field of general process control and automation, where he focuses on combining research and application-oriented work. His research is focused on process modelling, identification, advanced control, and the field of hydrogen technologies. He has been participating in and coordinating several projects financed by the European commission.
