Dr. Rachel E Crossland is a Senior Research Associate (Translational and Clinical Research) at Newcastle University. She completed her BSc studies in Biomedical Sciences at Newcastle University, PhD studies in Molecular Biology of Cancer at Newcastle University, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Her research interests involve the multi-disciplinary role of extracellular vesicles (EVs) and their molecular cargo in disease pathology, as novel biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis, and as potential therapeutic targets, particularly in immune-mediated inflammatory diseases and transplantation.
Prof. Anne M Dickinson works at the Emertia Institute of Translational and Cellular Medicine at Newcastle University and Chief Executive Officer at Alcyomics Ltd. She completed her BSc studies in Biochemistry with Microbiology at the University of Leeds, and PhD studies in Pharmacy at the Cancer Research Campaign Laboratories, University of Nottingham. Her research interests include the treatment of hematological disorders and the pathogenesis of graft-versus-host disease. She also specialises in the development of in vitro models of disease and predicting adverse immune reactions to compounds and drugs using non-animal technologies.
Prof. Elena Jones is an Associate Professor in Stem Cell Biology (Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine) at the University of Leeds. She completed her BSc studies in Immunology at Gorky State University and her PhD studies in Experimental Oncology at the All-Union Cancer Research Centre, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Moscow. Her research interests include mesenchymal stem cells, bone regeneration, cartilage regeneration, osteoarthritis, regenerative medicine, and orthopedics.
