Prof. Dr. Guichun Wu received his Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Nanjing Agricultural University in 2017, mainly engaged in the study of the molecular mechanism of plant pathogenic microorganisms. From 2018 to 2021, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, mainly focusing on pathogen-plant interactions. In 2021, he joined the School of Life Sciences of Anhui Agricultural University. His current research interests are as follows: (1) taking the interaction between pathogenic bacteria and important food crops corn and rice as the starting point, analyzing the molecular mechanism of pathogenic bacterial exogenous factors regulating plant immune defense response, and providing a new theoretical basis for the scientific prevention and control of bacterial diseases of food crops; and (2) using comparative genomics and modern genetic methods, exploring the toxic genes of important pathogenic bacteria in corn and rice, analyzing their molecular mechanisms involved in pathogenic regulation, and screening new targets for the research and development of chemical control agents for crop bacterial diseases.
Prof. Dr. Ting Ding currently works as a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the Key Laboratory of Biology and Sustainable Management of Plant Diseases and Pests of Anhui Higher Education Institutes, School of Plant Protection, Anhui Agricultural University, China. She graduated from Anhui Agricultural University with a Ph.D. in Microbiology. She mainly engaged in research on biological control and molecular biology of biocontrol microorganisms. Her research direction is the biological control of plant diseases.
