Dr. Yuki Kuwabara is currently an Assistant Professor in Anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Kuwabara trained at Jikei University School of Medicine and holds international experience from roles like Visiting Assistant at UCLA. Dr. Kuwabara’s research focuses on the cardiac autonomic nervous system and neuromodulation therapies with translational animal models. Dr. Kuwabara’s areas of expertise include Anesthesiology, Airway Management, Mechanical Ventilation, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Central Venous Catheterization, and Autonomic Nervous System.
Dr. Siamak Salavatian is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, Medicine, and Bioengineering and the Director of Neuromodulation Research at the University of Pittsburgh, in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. He is a scientist in the field of neurocardiology and neuromodulation. He received his doctorate in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Montreal (UdeM), with postdoctoral training at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Cardiac Arrhythmia Center. He has a Master of Engineering in Computer and Electrical Engineering, and he has applied engineering tools in his medical research. His main area of research is investigating the neural remodeling that occurs in the autonomic nervous system in heart diseases and assessing potential cardiac neuromodulation therapies.
