Dr. Victor Tuninetti is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of
Engineering and Sciences of the University of La Frontera in Temuco, Chile. His main responsibilities include teaching courses on machine design, manufacturing processes, mechanical behavior of materials, advanced materials, and industrial research projects. He also participates in doctoral programs in engineering,
master's programs in engineering sciences, and mechanical engineering. He has held the positions of director of the undergraduate program, master's program, and director of I+D in the Macrofaculty. His research interests include numerical modeling and characterization of manufacturing models, optimization of manufacturing processes, advanced materials, additive manufacturing, and design of products with higher performance, energy, and sustainability.
