Dr. Yiquan Song is an Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor in the Department of Geography at Tianjin Normal University. He received his Doctor of Science degree from the Institute of Remote Sensing Applications, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His main research interests include virtual geographic environments, geographic process simulation, and spatial analysis. He teaches undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Geographic Information Science and Fundamentals of Geographic Information Systems, and a graduate course titled Applications of Geographic Information Systems. Dr. Song has led and participated in numerous scientific research projects commissioned by national, municipal, and corporate institutions. He has published several scientific papers, and has edited or co-edited textbooks and works including Geospatial Data Acquisition and Processing, Principles of Geospatial Data Visualization, Principles of Geospatial Analysis, Introduction to Geographic Information Systems, and Introduction to Geographic Information System Applications.
