Dr. Zhouying Song is a Professor of Economic Geography, at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Science (CAS); a Professor of College of Resources and Environment, at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. She also serves as Secretary General of the "the Belt and Road" Research Branch of the Chinese Geographical Society, Secretary General of the "the Belt and Road" Collaborative Innovation Center, and Secretary General of the Regional Studies Association—China Division. Her research interests include regional development and disparities, regional sustainable development, and international trade geography, with recent work emphasizing economic and trade cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. She has led or participated in over 50 research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Science and Technology Support Program, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, among others. In addition, she has published more than 110 academic papers and contributed to 12 books.
