Dr. Shuby Puthussery is an Associate Professor in Maternal and Child Public Health and is the Director of the Maternal and Child Health Research Centre at the Institute for Health Research, University of Bedfordshire. She holds an MSc (IH) in International Health from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, and a DrPH in Public Health from the University of Bielefeld, Germany. With more than 20 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Puthussery leads a multidisciplinary research program in maternal and infant public health and has been the principal investigator on multiple national and international grants, focusing on the risk factors for poor maternal and infant health and inequalities in care experiences. Her research has led to national and international collaborations on successful research projects that have produced significant outputs for policy and practice in levelling up disparities in maternal and infant health, both in the UK and abroad.
