Author Biographies

Lixia Wang received a Master’s degree in Animal Genetics, Breeding and Reproduction from Huazhong Agricultural University, China, in June 2007. Since July 2007, she has been working at the Poultry Division of the Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, Wuhan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, holding the title of Senior Animal Husbandry Engineer. Her main research focuses on the breeding of new meat duck varieties.Centering on meat duck breeding, she has been granted 4 national invention patents as the first inventor, published over 20 papers as the first author, and obtained 2 scientific and technological achievements awards from Hubei Province and 5 from Wuhan City. The "Wuqin 10" meat duck hybrid line, cultivated by her team after 14 years of efforts, was approved by the National Livestock and Poultry Genetic Resources Committee in 2022.
