My name is Mahfujul Islam Rumman. I am currently a doctoral student conducting research on histopathology images at Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST). I belong to the Computational Systems Biology Laboratory in the Division of Information Science at the Graduate School of Science and Technology. I received my Master of Engineering degree in Data Science from this very institution in March 2023. Previously, I worked as a Research Assistant and a teaching Assistant at NAIST. I gained experience in medical image analysis tasks using deep learning by working as a research assistant. Currently, my research interests include data analysis, image processing, pattern recognition, medical image synthesis, machine learning, deep learning, etc. During my undergraduate studies, I did research on wireless communication and wrote a thesis on it later. I have published several peer-reviewed conference papers and journals and have collaborated with other researchers on interdisciplinary topics. I received the MEXT scholarship in the past, and I am receiving the KDDI scholarship now excellent academic records and contribution to technological innovation.
