Prof. Farhad Vahid is a senior postdoctoral researcher in the Nutrition and Health Research Group, Department of Precision Health, Luxembourg Institute of Health. He obtained his PhD in clinical nutrition from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran, in 2018. In 2024, Prof. Farhad Vahid was also a visiting scientist at Western University, London, ON, Canada. His research interests center on nutrition and inflammation, nutrition and cancer, nutritional epidemiology, and clinical nutrition.
Prof. Dr. Torsten Bohn is a food chemist and nutritionist. He is currently heading the Nutrition and Health Group at the Department of Precision Health, Luxembourg Institute of Health. Prof. Bohn holds a PhD from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich in 2002 and an ADR from the University of Luxembourg in 2018. His main research field is micronutrients and phytochemicals, their digestion, metabolism, and relation to chronic diseases, especially those characterized by oxidative stress and inflammation. His research interests also include nutrition, dietary patterns, food science, digestion, inflammation and oxidative stress, micronutrients, carotenoids, polyphenols, and non-communicable diseases.
