Author Biographies

Leontine (Lonneke) Vocks is a teacher/ researcher at Fontys University of Applied Science Venlo, the Netherlands, connected to studies within the logistic domain. Educational background: MSc “Bedrijfswetenschappen” (business science), graduation July 1998 from Katholieke Universiteit Nijmegen (Catholic University Nijmegen, the Netherlands). MSc “Customs and Supply Chain Compliance”, graduation August 2017 from Rotterdam School of Management, connected to Erasmus University Rotterdam (the Netherlands). Work experience: Teacher in logistics and business administration at university of applied science, specialized in trade compliance. Coordinator and teacher of 30EC program “Customs Management in International Business”. Applied researcher in the trade compliance domain. Current and previous research interests: Trade Compliance and global trade. Currently combining three domains: trade compliance, logistics, and global trade and sustainability in a PhD program. Victor Verboeket studied engineering and business and holds a PhD in supply chain management. After spending 20 years in various international business roles, he transitioned to academia in 2012. He is currently a full professor at Fontys University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, where he leads the Research Center for Supply Chain Innovation. His research focuses on enhancing supply chain performance, with a particular emphasis on sustainability and digital transformation. Victor is committed to bridging the gap between academia and industry, and he maintains strong connections with regional logistics industry organizations.
Bart Vos studied industrial engineering & management science and holds a PhD in global supply chain management. He currently is a full professor of Supply Chain Innovation at Maastricht University, the Netherlands. His previous affiliations include Tilburg University and Eindhoven University of Technology. His research focuses on improving supply chain performance, with a particular emphasis on the transition towards sustainable supply chains.
