Dr. Xinbao Zhao is a researcher and doctoral supervisor of the "Hundred Talents Program" at Zhejiang University. In addition, he is also a recipient of the Zhejiang Outstanding Youth Fund and the director of the High-Temperature Alloy Research Institute at the School of Materials Science and Technology, Zhejiang University. He obtained his doctoral degree from, and served as a postdoctoral fellow and associate professor at, Northwestern Polytechnical University. He served as a senior engineer, researcher, and assistant director at Huaneng Xi'an Thermal Power Research Institute Co., Ltd., and as the assistant dean of the School of Materials Science and Technology at Zhejiang University. He successively won the Innovation Team Award, the Second Prize of the Ministry of Education Natural Science Award, and the Top Ten Academic Advances of Zhejiang University in 2021. He is mainly engaged in the research and development, preparation, and industrial application of high-temperature alloys, heat-resistant steels, and special metal materials for aerospace, thermal and gas power generation, nuclear power, ship power, life and health, and other fields.
Dr. Quanzhao Yue is a research associate at Zhejiang University. He completed a PhD at the Northwestern Polytechnical University from 2010 to 2019. After that, he held a Post-Doctorate position at Zhejiang University. He has led and participated in many scientific research projects, such as dual-mode γ' phase structure control and mid- to high-temperature creep mechanism research on nickel-based single crystal high-temperature alloys, microstructure control and mid- to high-temperature creep mechanism research on advanced nickel-based single crystal high-temperature alloys, and in situ research on the ultra-high clean melting and fatigue damage process of bearing steel. He has been engaged in the research and development, preparation, and industrial application of high-temperature alloys in the fields of aerospace, gas power generation, and ship propulsion for a long time. In recent years, he has accumulated good research experience in the integrated preparation of advanced single crystal high-temperature alloys, including design, preparation, heat treatment, and performance testing analysis.
Dr. Wanshun Xia is a post-doctoral researcher at Zhejiang University. In 2018, he obtained a doctoral degree in engineering from Zhejiang University. He has participated as key personnel in several key projects, including the National Science and Technology Major Project, the National Natural Science Foundation Major Research Program Key Project, the Zhejiang Provincial Key R&D Program, and others. He mainly engages in research on advanced high-temperature alloy design, preparation, and application technology. He has published 14 papers in international mainstream journals, such as Acta Materialia and the Journal of Materials Science and Technology, applied for seven invention patents and authorized two, and won multiple scientific research awards, such as the JMST Excellent Paper Award and the China Materials Conference Excellent Report Award.
Prof. Yuefeng Gu is a professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University. He received a PhD from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, in 1995. After that, he continued to hold a Post-Doctorate position as a Japanese "Science and Technology Agency Scholar" in 1997. In recent years, he has been responsible for independent research and industrialization certification of high-temperature materials for 650 °C and 700 °C level units, key technology research on the design and development of materials for the final stage reheater/reheater of 700 °C ultra-supercritical thermal power units, and the design and development of advanced high-strength, high-temperature alloys for 800 °C ultra-supercritical units (HT-USC). He has been organizing and engaging in the development of high-temperature and special material applications that can serve under complex conditions, as well as conducting basic scientific research. He is familiar with theoretical frontiers, development trends, and research and development laws in related fields, and he has mastered the core technologies of material design and manufacturing.
Prof. Ze Zhang is a professor and Ph.D. supervisor at Zhejiang University and an expert in materials science and crystal structure. In 1987, he received a doctor's degree from the Institute of Metals, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He also serves as the Chief Scientist of the National Major Basic Research Project (973), a member of the Fourth Expert Advisory Committee of the Mathematical and Physical Sciences Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Chairman of the China Association for Analysis and Testing, and the Chairman of the China Society for Electron Microscopy, and he holds other positions. He has won nine national and ministerial-level awards, including the "National Natural Science First Prize", the first "Wu Jianxiong Physics Award", the first "Youth Science and Technology Award", the first "China Youth Scientist Award", the "He Liang He Li Award", and the "Qiu Shi" Award. He has long been engaged in research on electron microstructures, such as quasicrystals and low-dimensional nanomaterials. He combines atomic-level microstructure analysis with important issues in materials science, systematically studying and solving important problems in international materials science, such as quasicrystals and low-dimensional nanomaterials, and he has achieved creative research results.
