Dr. Russell Griffin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology, School of Public Health, University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham, AL, USA. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and obtained his Master of Public Health and a PhD in Public Health (Epidemiology) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2004, 2006, and 2011, respectively. Dr. Russell Griffin’s research interests mainly center on public health and health services, pediatric nephrology, and emergency medicine including trauma and burn injuries.
Dr. Rebecca Arend is an associate professor
of Gynecologic Oncology within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology,
Heersink School of Medicine, University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham,
AL, USA. She is also a scientist at the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center,
holding several key roles including Chair of the Data Safety and Monitoring
Committee, Co-Chair of the Precision Oncology Working Group, and Associate
Director of the Clinical Trials. Dr. Arend obtained her MD from the Albert Einstein
College of Medicine in 2008, completed her residency in Obstetrics and
Gynecology from Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in 2012, and earned a
Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Alabama in 2019. Her
clinical interests include translational research, targeted therapy,
chemoresistance, immunotherapy, and personalized medicine.
