Author Biographies

Betina Boneva-Marutsova, DVM, PhD, currently works as a Chief Assistant Professor at the Department of Epidemiology, infectious diseases and preventive medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Trakia University, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. Dr Boneva-Marutsova conducts research in Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine. She worked for more than 11 years at an industrial pig farm. In 2024, she defended her doctoral degree in the doctoral program "Epizootology, infectious diseases and prevention of infectious diseases in animals“ with her PhD thesis titled “STUDY ON THE DISTRIBUTION AND EVALUATION OF THE EFFICIENCY OF THE CONTROL METHODS OF SYNANTHROPIC COCKROACH SPECIES IN ANIMAL FARMS AND FOOD PROCESSING PLANTS IN BULGARIA”. Dr Boneva-Marutsova participates in various national and university projects.
